Can I use the Vortex Plus at any Tesla Supercharger?

The Vortex Plus is compatible with V3 and V4 Tesla Superchargers. It may not function at older Superchargers unless updated by Tesla. Use the Tesla app or map at tesla.com/NACS to confirm site compatibility.

How many Supercharger ports will be accessible, and which Supercharger generations are compatible?

Tesla has allocated 25,000+ Supercharger stalls for NACS. To see which sites are compatible to charge your vehicle, add your vehicle details to the Tesla app or use Tesla’s interactive map.

How do I activate a Tesla Supercharger if plug-and-charge isn't working?

Use the Charge Assist app on your vehicle's onboard settings to manually start charging.

What should I do if the Supercharger cord is too short to reach my EV?

End-row chargers offer more space. If needed, occupy two spots and charge during off-peak hours when more chargers are available.

Can I use the Vortex Plus with Level 2 Tesla Chargers or Mobile Connectors?

No, the Lectron Vortex Plus is a DC adapter designed exclusively for safe use with Superchargers only. To charge your EV at Level 2 Tesla Chargers, we recommend our Tesla to J1772 adapter. This adapter is compatible with Tesla High Powered Wall Connectors, Destination Chargers of all generations, and Mobile Connectors.

Will I be able to use the Vortex Plug to access level 2 charging at Tesla Destination Chargers or Mobile Connectors?

No, the Vortex Plus is designed for Superchargers only. For Level 1 or Level 2 charging, use the Lectron Tesla to J1772 adapter, compatible with Tesla Wall Connectors, Destination Chargers, and Mobile Connectors.

How is the Vortex Plus different from the Vortex Plug?

Vortex Plus includes an interlock mechanism and is UL 2252 certified by SGS for enhanced safety and performance during DC charging.

Is the interlock hard to use?

No. It activates automatically when you plug into a Supercharger, no extra steps are required.

Which vehicles can use this adapter?
