Installing a home charging station is a great way to ensure your electric vehicle is always ready to go. Also, charging at home is far cheaper than charging on the road.
Charging station maker Lectron produces several home EV recharging products, including several that can directly charge Tesla EVs without an adapter. The company also markets a line of affordable portable EV chargers that can be plugged into an existing outlet and don't require wall mounting.
Lectron's V-Box wall connector lineup includes 40- and 48-amp products with J1772 plugs that can be used with most non-Tesla EVs and a 48-amp model specifically designed with a Tesla charging cord. Most of the company's charging stations are fitted with 20-foot cables, which are a bit shorter than you'll get with some other chargers. Lectron offers both smart and non-connected chargers.
Lectron’s prices currently start at $159.99 for portable chargers and $335.99 for home chargers.
