Is this adapter compatible with all Tesla models?

No, it works with Model S, 3, X, & Y, NOT Compatible with Cybertruck. In addition, Teslas built before Oct 2020 may require an ECU retrofit, and vehicles built before 2014 are not compatible.

Is the adapter easy to use?

Yes, the J1772 to Tesla Adapter is designed for easy plug-and-play use. Simply connect it to any level 1 or 2 J1772 AC charger and then plug it into your EV.

Which chargers can I use?

Any standard SAE J1772 Level 1 or Level 2 charging stations. However, it is not compatible with DC Fast Chargers or CCS stations.

The adapter is compatible with all Tesla Models and EVs that use the North American Charging Standard (NACS).

Can I leave it connected to my charger?

Yes, you can leave EV adapters plugged into your charger when not in use. However, it is recommended to remove and store them safely inside the vehicle to prevent theft, accidental damage, or weather wear.

Will it overheat in hot weather?

In very hot conditions, the adapter’s built-in safety system may reduce or temporarily pause charging to prevent overheating. If this happens, disconnect the adapter and allow both the cable and adapter to cool for around 30 minutes before using them again.
